Debate Free Trade vs. Tariffs
- Read, answer questions 1-7, to be turned in – 30 points
- Create a powerpoint. Slide for each and a side by side comparison; use this to guide your ‘debate’. (30 points)
- Split team into two sides.
- Conduct debate; it must use specific arguments - FACTS, not opinions that I can recognize as part of the reading, etc. (30 points)
- The class will vote on which side ‘won’.
- Team participation (10 points)
Must present before Friday, June 13th—Thursday or Friday
PASSING STUDENTS MAY PRESENT Monday or Tuesday
#2 Interviews with individuals in a Latin American Country
Include examples of how Free Trade or Tariffs affect companies and people in other countries (such as Latin America)—50 points
- Answer questions 1-5; turn in and include information in debate (20 points)
- Effectively integrate Stories of all individual and how trade impacts their lives, pro and con (20 points)
